At AWE 2026 in Long Beach, VITURE has introduced Helix — described as the first AI safety eyewear platform built on NVIDIA’s XR AI solution. It marks a significant step for AR glasses moving beyond consumer entertainment and into serious industrial and clinical use.
What Helix Actually Does
Designed for industrial, scientific and clinical workflows, Helix streams a wearer’s first-person perspective to a multimodal AI in real time, enabling AI-assisted coaching, compliance monitoring, and full-provenance capture of every shift worn. In practice, that means a factory worker, lab technician, or clinician wearing Helix has an AI system watching what they see and offering guidance or compliance checks as they work.
Viture has created the glasses specifically for industrial, scientific and clinical use cases described as “AI-assisted workflows.”
The Hardware
Helix combines a fully transparent, industrial-grade safety glasses form factor engineered to ANSI Z87.1-2025, with certification currently in progress, alongside a 12MP first-person camera, a four-microphone array, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and over 60 minutes of battery life.
A Coordinated NVIDIA Launch
At AWE 2026, NVIDIA officially unveiled its XR AI solution during David Chu’s keynote, demonstrating how XR interfaces can help physical AI systems “see” and “reason” in real-world settings — with Helix featured as the first AI glasses built on that platform. Live demonstrations took place throughout the event in the NVIDIA/Dell meeting room, and NVIDIA published a corporate blog post alongside an accompanying product video to mark the moment.
Pricing and Availability
The glasses aren’t set to debut until Q1 2027, though individual reservations have already opened at $600.
Why It Matters
For VITURE, the launch marks the first major milestone in the company’s strategic expansion into AI — the opening move from leadership in US XR glasses into a broader roadmap of AI-native products built on the same hardware, optical and software platform. According to the latest IDC Worldwide AR/VR Headset Tracker for Q1 2026, VITURE already ranks number one in AR/XR display glasses and number two across all AR/VR headsets shipped in the US and Europe, second only to Meta.
Helix represents a notable shift in how the AR industry is positioning itself — not as a consumer novelty, but as genuine workplace infrastructure where AI and augmented vision combine to support real tasks in real environments.
